The Dance 

The Dance is a tradition that has occurred at Garner State Park since the beginning!  Come out every night of the summer and enjoy country and classics played by the jukebox.  There is no charge to attend.  The dance is held at the historic pavilion.

DANCE SCHEDULE:

The first dance of the season is spring break.  After spring break, the dance occurs on Easter weekend and then every  Saturday in May until Memorial weekend.  Beginning Memorial Weekend, the dance is seven nights a week.  After the 2nd week in August, the dance returns to Saturday's only.  Labor Day Sunday is the final dance of the season.

Labor Day Weekend we will hold dances on Saturday and Sunday night.  Sunday is the last dance of the season!!!

During Spring Break, there is a dance every evening from dark-thirty until 11pm.

RULES & TRADITIONS OF THE DANCE

NO ALCOHOL

There is a painted line around the dance floor-stand behind it! All Chairs must be on or behind this line.

You can bring a chair and leave it at the pavilion-at your own risk!  Many people bring chairs and leave them there for their entire vacation.  This is a tradition.

No chairs behind the black bars.  This is an area for standing and waiting to be asked to dance.

There is a deputy on duty at the dance for your safety.

This is a family environment-foul language is not tolerated.

Fighting is grounds for ejection from the park, not to mention whatever legal charges are charged.

No Smoking on the dance floor, pavilion or under pavilion walkway.

No bikes, balls, skate boards, roller skates, frisbees or other flying objects during the dance.

The Garner Grill is open serving food until 10pm and drinks until 11pm (during summer time only)

The Gift Shop is open until 11pm. (during peak season)
