Brett
Rimkus is your Garner State Park Concessionaire. His company,
Rimkus Mgmt. came into Garner in 2000 and things have rocked and
rolled ever since. If you are a yearly visitor to Garner, you
have no doubt seen all of the positive changes made by Rimkus Mgmt.
Most of us recognize Brett from the nightly summer dance at the pavilion, where he can always be seen in his white button up, jeans and white cowboy hat. He along with local law enforcement patrol the dance to keep us all safe. So for those of you who want to sneak a drink in...beware, his flashlight will surely find you.
Along with being your favorite concessionaire, Brett is also your local volunteer EMS first responder. He responds to all 911 emergencies within the park and surrounding areas. For those of you with minor booboos, you will find your basic and minor emergency care items for sale at the Garner Park Store located in Pecan Grove.
On a personal note, Brett has
been married to a wonderful gal since 2003. Brett and Renee
actually got hitched inside the pavilion and had their first dance
on the infamous pavilion dance floor. You can pretty much
always catch Renee in her domain-the Garner Gift Shop-she is always
straightening or cleaning something! They have a gorgeous
little boy named Fisher, born in November '05. They also have a
wonderful announcement-BABY #2 is on the WAY! Expected
due date is August 14th.
Calling Information
When calling the front office, there is almost always an automated system to go through-be patient and as soon as someone is free they will get to the phone. Keep in mind-if you have ever checked in at the front office-you know how busy it is-and these are the same people answering the phone. Hopefully you can have most of your questions answered with this website or the Texas Parks and wildlife site listed above.
